In the list of 52 destinations published by New York Times, Mustang has been placed at number 37 in tourist places to visit in 2024, giving a brief description of its natural beauty and historical importance.

Known as the district across the Himalayas, Mustang is located between two high peaks, Dhawalagiri and Nilgiri. According to excavations, more than 3,000 years ago, Mustang was the main trade route between Nepal and Tibet.

Lo Manthang Historical Palace, Lo Manthang, Muktinath, Tukuche Nilgiri Mountain, Mt Dhawalagiri, Tilicho Peak, Yakkawa Peak, Tukuche Dhampus Peak are some major tourist spots in Mustang.

Likewise, this district is also important in terms of religion as it is home to temples and srines including the Muktinath Temple, Damodar Kund, Kagbeni, Shivalaya Temple (Puthang), Ganesha Temple (Jomsom), Tukuche Gompa Kobang, Tukuche Gompsamp, Tukuche Makal Gompa, Tukuche Rani Gompa, and Marfa Gompa.

To the north from the headquarters, Jomsom, Bhote, Gurung, Bista, and Thakuri castes predominate, while to the south, there are other castes including Thakali.

Detail Itinerary

Arrival at Kathmandu meet up. Check-in hotel. Later you can proceed towards thamel market for shopping which is near by your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

After Breakfast, Procced For the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley including Pasupatinath temple, Swyambhunath stupa, Bouddhanath stupa and Patan Durbar square, later proceed for hotel and overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (7-8 hrs). Arrival and transfer to hotel. You can spend your time boating on Fewa Lake near the hotel on your own. Overnight at Pokhara

Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (20min flight approx.), drive to Muktinath, worship and have bath with 108 holy tap you can also have deep at two holy kund later visit kagbeni for sightseeing and back to Jomsom. Overnight at Jomsom.

Today, after breakfast we will be visiting Marpha to visit the apple Garden where we will try different kinds of apple wine as well as marpha village tour, during the mean time we will went for a hiking at Marpha to for hiking from where we will observe the magnification views of Marpha and later visit to Jomsom hotel. Overnight at Jomsom.

As per the flight schedule fly back to Pokhara. Arrival and proceed for a half day sightseeing. Visit Bindabasini Temple, Seti Gandaki River, Devis Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Barahi Temple. Overnight at Pokhara.

Drive back to Kathmandu. (7-8hrs.) En route as per guest interest we can involve on rafting or we can go for a manakamana devi temple sightseeing through the rope way. We will have lunch on the way. when we arrive at Kathmandu hotel check in and rest of the time is free time during that time you can roam around the thamel market for sopping or for refreshments. Overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast free time. Transfer to airport Three-hour prior before the flight timing with the happy Memories of Nepal tour.
