Journey Route & Experience

Kathmandu Preparation & Cultural Start

Your journey begins in Kathmandu with arrival, permit processing, and guided sightseeing of UNESCO World Heritage sites. This phase allows spiritual preparation before entering Tibet.

Drive to Kyirong (Nepal–Tibet Border)

You travel by road to Syabrubesi and cross the Rasuwagadhi border into Kyirong. This gradual ascent helps in acclimatization and reduces altitude risks.

Acclimatization & Tibetan Plateau Journey

A rest day in Kyirong is crucial before continuing to Saga (4,500m), crossing dramatic landscapes, rivers, and Himalayan peaks including Shishapangma.

Lake Mansarovar – Spiritual Core

Reaching Lake Mansarovar is one of the most emotional highlights. Pilgrims perform rituals, meditation, and holy bathing, believed to cleanse sins and purify the soul.

Darchen – Base Camp of Kailash

Darchen serves as the starting point for the Kailash Kora, offering the first close views of Mount Kailash.

Kailash Parikrama (3 Days)

The most sacred part of the journey:

  • Day 1: Darchen → Dirapuk (North face of Kailash)
  • Day 2: Dirapuk → Dolma La Pass → Zuthulpuk (most कठिन)
  • Day 3: Zuthulpuk → Darchen

Crossing Dolma La Pass symbolizes spiritual rebirth and liberation.
