Best Season for Annapurna Base Camp Trek
For the Annapurna Base Camp trip, the best times to go on a trip in Nepal are spring and fall. We advise spring and autumn, considering that at those times of year the paths and teahouses will be somewhat busy. On the route, however, this also fosters togetherness and new connections made late evenings.
Spring (March until May):
Perfect time to enjoy the milder temperature and explore the rhododendron woodlands with their vibrant blossoms. Hiking is rather nice as the season goes on since the lower altitudes get warmer weather.
Autumn (September – November):
Another outstanding season is this one. Though generally it resembles spring, it can start out a little wet when the monsoon ends.
Monsoon (June – September):
The monsoon season runs from June to September and may bring regular rainy spells. You might be unlucky and it will rain every day; you might be lucky and find minimal rain on your path. One cannot forecast the precise weather. All the same, you will have to pack waterproof clothes and be ready for rain. Slippery paths and limited view are two further drawbacks of the monsoon. Positively, even if more difficult, this is an adventurous experience and the paths will have less walkers.
Winter (December–February):
If you are an experienced trekker and if you do not mind of the cold and
snow, we would advise just contemplating winter in this region.
Particularly at night, temperatures will be somewhat low. Snow would
prevent us from camping at base camp in the winter. If you truly wish to
go trekking in the winter, these are the seasons to go; it will not be as cold
in the first half of December and the later half of February. Remember that the
weather can cause adjustments to the schedule.
The best periods to receive clear mountain vistas, blue sky, and pleasant
weather, we advise spring and fall. At Annapurna Base Camp, the springtime
temperatures range from 19oC to - 9oC with an average daily temperature of
about 10 degrees. Early fall also features comparable temperatures. Remember
that at the lower altitudes, it will be somewhat warm and sunny during the day;
hence, sunscreen and a sunhat are advised. At night, tempers can drop to almost
0 centigrade.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek Difficulty
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is an adventure geared to anyone of moderate fitness, or even little trekking experience. The trail will see you right deep in the Annapurna range where you are treated to stunning views and a real taste of trekking in Nepal. It is not so difficult track but you must be familiar with routes of this region and altitude.
There are two main things that make the ABC Trek easy — one is, of course,
its difficulty level. It is a moderate trek with rocky, paved as well muddy
trails, more frequent in rainy season. The trekking slowly goes up to the
greater elevations, you will be at crucial altitudes for only two days —
Deurali 3230 meters /10597 feet and Annapurna Base Camp-4130 meters/13549 feet.
This gives plenty of time for the thinner oxygen levels to acclimatize, which
helps prevent altitude sickness. General hiking times of about 5 hours per day
with one longer day up to maximum 8 hours.Temperature wise when you are on the
trek it varies from 12 – 22 Degrees Celsius at lower levels to 5-10 Degrees at
Annapurna Base Camp which is quite low. But the weather during monsoon and
winter months can change all of a sudden, so you should be prepared.
The hike itself is moderate difficulty and good for families; however it
does require a certain level of physical fitness so be cautious regarding your
own limitations! High altitudes and uneven terrain could make it difficult for
people with asthma or other health problems. Unless you are one to worry,
better look for alternative treks in this region — like Poonhill Ghorepani Trek
or Mardi Himal Trek.
Before you go on the famous Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you should learn more
about these things. They will leave a lasting impression on you.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 10Days/9Nights Accommodation
The Annapurna region is a popular trekking destination in Nepal. All you
have to do is trek and keep on walking because there are lots of tea houses out
there in the ABC Trekking Route, so tent will be useless! People are
accommodated in standard yet comfortable rooms to be shared by two. During your
14-day trek, you will be staying at the best available tea houses as promised
by Guru Travels Limited. Rooms are usually double-bedded ones with wooden
beds, bed sheets and blankets, mattresses, pillows or cushions at every nook
but most of the places it also has attached bathroom although same is not
guaranteed everywhere. Single rooms can be organized in almost all areas except
at Deurali and Annapurna Base Camp. At lower altitudes it is easier to get
single rooms, especially Kathmandu and the trekking regions below, but as we
head higher upwards so this could be harder.
