Role Description

  • Navigate ticketing through multiple systems and websites & Proceed booking (Sabre/ Galileo/ Amadeus)
  • Using basic sales techniques, understand customer’s needs to receive all required information needed
  • Communication with customer with solution and advisory based on best fit/ recommended products/ services
  • Proceed with provisional costing, booking, and closure of the inquires upon customer’s confidence
  • Consolidate service features to enrich the package
  • Develop the quote, with local requirements, consideration for any applicable ancillary fees, and mapping out trip


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism management or any other relevant field
  • Experience in the travel and tourism industry preferred but freshers are encouraged
  • Extensive knowledge in ticketing and reservations software and handling travel itineraries
  • Training and Expertise on GDS platforms (SABRE/AMADEUS/GALILEO)
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Fluency in English and Nepali. Knowledge of other languages is a plus

Job Description:

  • Preparing travel itineraries, obtaining special rates from various hotels and transport, package costing, rate sheets, and proposals. Also, designing and creating new tour packages as per the customer’s needs and then send them to agents overseas.
  • Involvement with suppliers and business partners to determine logistics for inbound tour groups.
  •  Obtaining visas for foreign customers by coordinating with overseas business partners and assisting with tour operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Handling operations-related inquiries and lending a hand to the sales team as needed as well as deciding how many vacations to sell each season and which resorts/hotels to use 
  • Visiting resorts/hotels to determine the quality and suitability of accommodations
  • Coordinating with transport companies, airlines, hoteliers, tour guides, and resort representatives, also deciding on service levels, contracts, and pricing and confirming the names of customers with airlines and hotels.
  • Invoicing, combining travel, accommodation, and services such as sightseeing arrangements to create holiday packages.

We are looking for a proficient Ticketing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a solid understanding of ticketing legislation and processes. The Ticketing Officer will be responsible for assisting passengers in planning their travel, providing accurate information on routes and schedules, making and confirming reservations, calculating travel expenses, and selling tickets. The role demands excellent customer service and organizational skills, as well as the ability to handle inquiries and resolve ticketing issues efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Client Advice: Provide expert advice to clients regarding their travel plans.
  • Booking and Ticketing: Book domestic and international flights, issue tickets, and make hotel reservations worldwide using the system.
  • Document Handling: Collect and check documents as per country-specific requirements.
  • Ticketing Enquiries: Handle ticketing inquiries including airfare quotations, reservations, and e-ticket issuances.
  • Customer Relations: Work closely with leisure and corporate clients, airlines, travel agencies, transport, and other service providers to build strong professional relationships.
  • Information Assistance: Answer inquiries regarding schedules, availability, procedures, and policies. Assist with travel documents as requested by clients.
  • Route Planning: Plan travel routes and compute ticket costs.
  • Complaint Handling: Manage complaints, obtain customer feedback, and upgrade customer service as necessary.
  • Availability Checking: Determine ticket availability for requested travel dates.
  • Invoicing and Payment: Prepare customer invoices and process payments.
  • Refunds and Ticket Management: Follow up with airlines for ticket refunds and capping.
  • Diverse Role: Adapt to varying situations and responsibilities as required.


Qualifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the travel industry, with at least 1 years specifically in IATA ticketing.
  • Proven experience in travel ticketing, preferably IATA trained or experienced in an IATA accredited travel agency.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the airline, travel agency, and holiday industries.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using Galileo, Amadeus, and Sabre reservation systems.
  • Skilled in handling and issuing tickets, and capable of effectively and efficiently marketing to different organizations.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email.
  • Strong management skills and ability to work extended hours under varying schedules, frequently meeting rigid deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, directions, letters, memos, and other written materials.
  • Strong oral communication skills, capable of using standard telephones to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a charming, outgoing personality and a pleasing voice.
  • Ability to increase sales and support management in revenue growth.


NOTE: Two-wheeler license holder and two-wheeler holder are preferred.
