DETAIL ITINERARY
Day 1- Arrive in Kathmandu meet our staff and transfer to hotel.
On arrival in Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines where Guru travels staff receives you with warm welcome and then transfer to your hotel around Thamel area in the hub of Kathmandu.

Day 2- Tour of Kathmandu around places of interest.
These two days you will engrossed with interesting and delightful tour around Kathmandu and Patan cities.
Morning starts with tour around Kathmandu, steeped with ancient heritage sites and monuments of both Hindu and Buddhist, morning after breakfast our tours starts with a short drive to Swayambhunath, a popular and famous pilgrimage sites for Buddhist and Hindu as well.
An ancient Chaitiya of Asia and a major symbol of Nepal’s Buddhist heritage, Swayambhunath represents Primordial Buddha or Adi-Buddha.
The hill top where Swayambhunath Chaitiya is built is called Padmagiri, Vajrakuta, Gosringa, Gopuchha, Samhegu, and Simbhu and listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Swayambhunath area offers grand views of whole Kathmandu valley with distant snow capped peaks.
After Swayambhunath visit Patan or Lalitpur City, which is close to Kathmandu and an adjoining city located south of Kathmandu on the other side of Bagmati River, an historical and cultural area with old palace buildings, artistic courtyard.
After Patan tour leads to Bouddhanath, an important Buddhist pilgrimage and heritage sites in Nepal. The story and history mentions that this Stupa contains relics of Buddha Kashyapa, with 176 miniature stupas and paintings of Tibetan Buddhist pantheons cover the walls that surround the Stupa at Bouddhanath.
Bouddhanath Stupa is an important pilgrimage site for Tibetans which is mentioned in Tibetan classical texts such as Biography of Yeshe Tshogyal (A.D. 8-9) and Padma Ka’thang (A.D.14).
Day 3- Drive to Dhulikhel and visit Namodbuddha holy sites.
Located beyond the eastern rim of Kathmandu valley on the Tibet / China & Nepal Friendship Highway an hour drive where one can stay for overnight or more.
Dhulikhel at 1,440 meters, this beautiful spot offers panorama of High Mountain from Manaslu, Ganesh Himal in the far west to Langtang, Jugal Himal towards central north and as far to eastern horizon Gaurishankar, Melungatse Himal to Everest on clear fine day, Dhulikhel famous for Newari culture and popular as for resorts on route to Tibet and Jiri.
Here with time in the afternoon visit to holy Namobuddha, which is near south of Dhulikhel just 20 minutes drive within pristine environment, a holy place for Buddhist, the old history belief is that Buddha on the path of learning-offered his own body without regret to a tigress suffering.
One of the unsurpassable supreme sacred sites known as the Three Stupas in Nepal is Tagmo Lüjin (lit "The place where the future Buddha sacrificed his body to a tigress"). It is the very sacred place where our teachers, the perfect and supreme Buddhafrom great hunger. What follows is a history of this supreme and distinguished sacred site, whose location is unmistaken based on the clear identification given in the Sutra Requested by the Tigress and so forth.
Day 4- Drive to Chitwan National park for jungle safari.
After breakfast an overland drive to low land of Nepal called Terai around warm semi-tropical areas, where deep dense jungles are located.
After a scenic driving past many villages and towns reaching at outskirt of Chitwan National Park where all nice hotels-lodge and resorts are placed, at Chitwan using the best hotels or resort for 2 overnight stops, after lunch a short introductory tour or nature walks with dinner accompanied by local Tharu culture dance programs.
Day 5- In Chitwan full jungle activities and elephant safari.
Full day jungle and nature programs starting early morning before breakfast with varieties of
activities includes elephant safari (morning or late afternoon) jungle / nature walks-bird watch tour, canoe ride to see crocodile and water birds, jungle drive with enjoyable elephant bathing and briefing, afternoon Jungle drive / Jungle or Nature walks or elephant safari (if not done earlier).
Day 6- Drive to Lumbini birth place of Lord Buddha
Lumbini “The Birth Place of Sakyamuni Buddha: (5 hrs drive from Chitwan)
Morning after an exciting time in Chitwan, then an interesting overland drive on the southern and west of Nepal to reach at Lumbini.
Located in South West Nepal, close to Indian border, Lumbini has a small airport, Lumbini meaning in Sanskrit for "the lovely" most important Buddhist pilgrimage site.
Lumbini is the traditional birthplace of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, who was born in the 7th or 6th century BC. On reaching at Rupendhi in Lumbini transfer to hotel close to Buddha’s birth place areas.
Day 7- Morning visit Lumbini holy sites and drive to Kathmandu.
Morning visit Maya Devi temple mother of Sakyamuni Buddha as the dates back 642 BC.
In 249 BC, the Buddhist converted Emperor Ashoka of India, visited Lumbini and constructed four stupas and a stone pillar. Asoka’s Pillar bears an inscription that translates as: "King Piyadasi (Ashoka), beloved of devas, in the 20 year of the coronation, himself made a royal visit, Buddha Sakyamuni having been born here, a stone railing was built and a stone pillar erected to the Bhagavan ["blessed one"] having been born here. Lumbini village was taxed reduced and entitled to the eight parts (only)".
The site was rediscovered in 1895, when a German archaeologist came upon Asoka’s Pillar, identified by its inscription. Records made by the Chinese pilgrim Fa Xian were also used in the process of identifying this religiously acclaimed site. Lumbini was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
After an interesting tour drive back to Kathmandu on the interesting highway taking more than 6-7 of exciting overland drive, on reaching Kathmandu transfer back to respective hotels.

Day 8- In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.
In Kathmandu free day to enjoy at leisure for own personal individual activities shopping souvenirs or can book for another interesting sightseeing tour around Kathmandu-Patan or Bhaktapur. We also arrange early mountain flight of one hour with views of Mt. Everest along with other chain of snowcapped peaks.
Day 9- International departure
Last day in unique Nepal after a memorable experience on “Cultural & Heritage Tour of Nepal” with great services of Guru Travels, and as per your international flight time, our staff transfers you to airport for the flight back home or to respective countries.
